For more than 150 years, McConway & Torley has stood at the center of American industry. Since 1869, our foundry has produced the steel couplers and components that form the backbone of the nation’s rail network. What began in Pittsburgh’s Lawrenceville neighborhood has grown into a modern operation that continues to set the standard for rail safety and performance. Today, we are proud to be part of FerroWorks, a modern manufacturing group formed through the union of four industry leaders. Together, we proudly serve not only freight and transit rail but also mining and industrial markets around the world. Every product we make is forged in the USA, backed by generations of expertise, and designed for the future of transportation.

McConway & Torley is ISO9001-15 certified, AAR Certified and is one of the only foundries in the country to carry the OSHA VPP (voluntary protection program) certification which recognizes employers who have implemented and achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.
